If Prime Minister Narendra Modi symbolically wielded the broom Thursday to launch a nationwide campaign that aims to clean up India in five years, Several other states came forward to endorse his move for better India.Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu also took part in some programs in Vijayawada to mark the occasion.Chandrababu along with union minister nirmala Seetaraman cleaned the drains.

Naidu while speaking to media has highlighted about the importance and significance of the Swachh Bharat Mission.He said that this mission should be taken in the spirit of Mahatma Gandhi’s moral principles and we should take it as our responsibility.

He called each and every citizen of the state to participate in the noble cause and help cleaning the house and surroundings.The chief minister, who administered a pledge to the people on cleanliness, said on October 2 is a sacred day for India as it is the birth anniversary of the father of nation Mahatma Gandhi.Other side Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao or his cabinet colleagues did not participate in any programme.However, Telangana Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma administered a pledge to municipal employees at function held at the office of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Governor of two telugu states E S L Narasimhan launched the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ at the Raj Bhavan by administering a pledge to the staff.The Governor and his wife Vimala Narasimhan later symbolically swept the roads near Raj Bhavan
