Tamil hero Suriya’s latest film ‘S3’ in Singham series is slated for release on January 26 on the occasion of Republic Day.As the first two parts in the Singham series turned out to be successful in both Tamil and Telugu languages, Suriya is hopeful on the success of the film.The film makers of S3 initially planned to release the film in December itself.But they have postponed the release of the film to January due to several reasons including Charan’s Dhruva.
They have finalized January 26 because they thought that Sankranthi films hungama will be subsided by Republic day.But things did not turn out as they have expected.
Chiranjeevi’s ‘Khaidi No.150’, Balakrishna’s ‘Gautami Putra Satakarni’ turned out to be huge blockbusters and still going strong at the box office.Another Sankranthi release Sharwanand starrrer ‘Shatamanam Bhavati’ also turned out to be a super hit.As the Sankranthi biggies rooling roost at the box office, S3 makers are worried on the fate of their film now.Chiru, Balayya films are scaring them in particular.If their films continue to mint money at the box office like this, getting theaters will be difficult for S3.
On the other hand, they will have a smooth release in Tamil Nadu because, Vijay’s Pongal release ‘Bairavaa’ turned out to be disappointment and there is no other strong film to compete with Tamil version of Singam.
