Officials are expressing confidence that the proposed pilot project of the Centre to supply uninterrupted power to domestic and industrial sectors in Andhra Pradesh state will commence from October 2nd, Gandhi Jayanthi.However, the challenge before the Central and state governments will be to separate agriculture and domestic feeders in villages to give quality three-phase power supply.
The government of India has selected AP, Rajasthan and Delhi for implementation of a project for 24/7 power supply to the domestic sector.The Centre will extend financial support, power (electricity), coal, additional power and transmission lines and other technical support to the state for the project.
